Wow!
The 3rd Annual BAFTA All Gaited Horse Show was our most successful yet. With more than 40 horses entered we had a fabulous turn out and everyone had a fun time. Our judge, Debbie Rash, did a wonderful job of judging all of the different breeds that participated, including American Saddlebreds, Morgans, Peruvian Pasos and Tennessee Walking horses, in addition to the Fox Trotters that were present. Here are some photos from our fun filled day!

This summer BAFTA was really excited to join the NCASHA at the Watsonville Summer Classic. What started as a quick idea quickly turned into a long term exclusive partnership and we have to say:
WHAT AN AMAZING SHOW! Our members has such a good time! The weather was wonderful, the awards were over the top and the participation was fantastic - Our classes had lots of horses and the competition was amazing - what a great new experience for our association! Our members had a blast. Susan Lokker-Hewitt and her new mare had their debut horse show together and Aleina did wonderful - calm. cool and happy to be there, Sophie even shoed her in the youth class and another open gaited class and did such a fine job - we are so proud of out youth riders. Melissa Junkel debuted in her very first ever horse show and did a wonderful job. Carly Chase enjoyed trying some new classes in her third ever horse show and all of the youth riders represented the Fox Trotters well. BAFTA was also excited to welcome Pamela Ellison to this show - she drove up all the way from south of San Diego and we had so much fun spending time with Pam and Shelly. Don't miss out on this show in 2015 - it is sure to be one of the favorites and we can't wait to participate! The first Annual October Classic was another milestone for the Bay Area Fox Trotter Association - This was our first year hosting two independent horse shows. Again, it was a lot of work but in the end, the outcome was wonderful and we have began another new tradition to add to our upcoming years.
If you missed any of our shows this year, please do be sure to save the dates for 2014 - we welcome anyone and everyone who wants to show their horses and have a great time! in April of 2013 BAFTA members returned to Monterey California to participate in the Monterey Springfest Horse Show.
BAFTA hosted our very first horse show, as a new association, in September 2012. We had such a good time! Of course there was a lot to learn, a lot of work involved as we were starting from scratch, but at the end of the day we had done a great job, our participants had a wonderful time and we learned a lot!
The 2012 Monterey Springfest what the first show that the Bay Area Fox Trotter Association participated in, as a new association. We were all very excited to be showing at the Springfest and we met so many new people who showed our new group support and encouragement.
Below are some of the photos of our members from the Monterey Springfest. |
